Run by farmers for farmers
Anglia Free Range Eggs works hard to maintain high welfare and hygiene standards, and is committed to the care of its hens and the farms on which they live. It supplies eggs that have been mostly sourced from local farms, where the hens are free to roam and spend their days foraging in the range.
Whether on the farm, at the packing centre or in delivering the eggs to their final destination, Anglia aims to reduce the impact its supply chain has on the environment. It believes in generating as few food miles as possible and works to reduce its carbon footprint by planting trees on all of its farms.
What happens on a visit to Anglia Free Range Eggs?
A visit to Anglia Free Range Eggs will include a trip to a local farm, where children will see where the hens live and lay their eggs. They will learn how farmers collect and pack the eggs, as well as visit the packing centre to see how the eggs are checked and packed before they are sent off to stores.
