This Easter some of our stores are running Let’s Cook courses in their Pop Up Kitchens. Classes kicked off this week, and we’re delighted to say that places filled up in a flash – we clearly have lots of budding chefs in our midst!
If you’d like to add some Let’s Cook flavour into your kitchen this Easter, you’re in luck! We have tons of new recipes to try, and they’ve all been specially designed by the Children’s Food Trust to equip children with skills and confidence in the kitchen.
Here are some of our favourites!
Our Tasty tomato pasta is a great dish to try with children just starting out in the kitchen. It’s quick, cheap and easy, and the sauce can be used as a base for lots of other recipes. You can also get creative with it, adding different vegetables or flavours depending on what you have in your cupboards or whatever you fancy.
Top noodles can also be easily adapted to include whatever you might have in the fridge or what’s in season. It’s super-easy and quick to make, and much more nutritious than pre-packed noodles! This recipe is packed full of flavour and makes a great packed lunch.
This Speedy chicken biryani recipe is delicious and nutritionally balanced, and also has the added benefit of being a one-pot meal. Perfect for weeknights when you want something interesting for dinner but don’t want to wash up dozens of pans!
These Fruity yoghurt cups are ideal for dessert, and packed with lots of lovely fruit. You can use any fruit you have to hand, whether fresh, dried, canned or frozen, so it’s perfect for a spur-of-the-moment sweet treat.
We’d love to see pictures of the meals you make with your children – you can tweet them to us @EatHappyProject.
Have a lovely Easter!
